Teofilo Gutierrez joins Sporting Lisbon

Sporting Lisbon have completed the signing of River Plate striker Teofilo Gutierrez.

The 30-year-old has penned a three-year deal with the Portuguese club for a reported fee of €1.7m (£1.2m).

"Sporting can announce that it has reached agreement with River Plate for the outright transfer of Teofilo Gutierrez," Sporting confirmed on their official website.

"He signs a deal for three seasons with the option of another year and has a contract termination clause of €40m (£27.8m). Sporting wish the best professional and personal happiness for Teofilo Gutierrez."

Gutierrez has won 43 caps for Colombia and represented his country at last summer's World Cup.
