William Carvalho admits "dream" Premier League move

Sporting Lisbon midfielder William Carvalho says that it is a "dream" of his to join a Premier League club, amid speculation linking him to Arsenal and Manchester United.

Sporting Lisbon midfielder and reported Arsenal target William Carvalho has revealed that it is a dream of his to play in the Premier League.

The Gunners and Manchester United have been heavily linked with a £25m move for the 22-year-old this month, and Carvalho revealed that agent Jorge Mendes is negotiating a switch to England.

"My dream is to play in England. I know some clubs are interested but my agent Jorge is looking after it and I am relaxed," he told Portugal-based publication Record.

"Now my mission is to work in Sporting and they will be in charge of any transfer and my future. That is very important."

Carvalho is under contract in the Portuguese capital until 2018.
