Diego Costa leads line for Spain

Diego Costa has been picked to lead the line for Spain in Tuesday night's international friendly against Argentina at the Wanda Metropolitano.

Roja boss Julen Lopetegui has made two changes to the team that started the 1-1 draw with Germany on Friday night.

Former Chelsea forward Costa replaces Rodrigo at centre-forward, while Marco Asensio has come in for David Silva.

Koke, meanwhile, keeps his spot in midfield alongside Andres Iniesta and Thiago, while Gerard Pique is fit and also starts despite prior fitness doubts.

As for Argentina, Lionel Messi is again absent through injury, but there are starting spots for the likes of Javier Mascherano and Gonzalo Higuain, while Independiente midfielder Maximiliano Meza makes his international debut.

Manchester City centre-back Nicolas Otamendi starts for Jorge Sampaoli's side, but Manuel Lanzini, who scored against Italy on Friday night, is unavailable due to injury.
