Malaga youngster Isco is confident that the Spanish Olympic squad is in with a serious chance of a medal.
Despite only three players from Spain's triumphant Euro 2012 squad having been selected in the Under-23 team, Isco believes that they will there or thereabouts when the medals are decided.
"Looking at the group we have, with big-name players, we can see serious options of a medal, but we need to show this on the field where we will face very difficult opponents," he told Marca.
"We are going with the intention to win and to continue getting better. We will try to be at our best and we hope to achieve it."
Isco has made one appearance for the Spanish Under-23s.
