Vicente del Bosque: 'I didn't expect Spain to lose to Slovakia'

Spain manager Vicente del Bosque believes that his side did not deserve to come away with nothing from their shock Euro 2016 qualifier defeat to Slovakia.

Spain manager Vicente del Bosque has claimed that his side's 2-1 defeat away at Slovakia in this evening's Euro 2016 qualifier was a harsh outcome that he did not expect.

Miroslav Stoch's late goal in Zilina condemned La Roja to their first qualification defeat since 2006.

Del Bosque is quoted by AS as saying: "I didn't expect this result. We pressed but we haven't had a great game. We should have scored more goals but the counterattack has been lethal to us.

"This is football. We can't have any complaints against the players. We had patience but we weren't successful and their goalkeeper was outstanding."

The 2010 World Cup winners currently sit second in Group E with three points from two games.
