Southampton chief executive Phil Parsons has revealed that the Championship club are open to selling Tyler Dibling amid interest from Everton.
The 19-year-old enjoyed a breakthrough campaign in the Premier League last season, when the sorry Saints collected just 12 points across 38 league contests.
Dibling managed two goals from 33 top-flight appearances for the South-coast club, who are now at the beginning of a Championship campaign.
Will Still's Saints secured a last-gasp success over newly-promoted Wrexham on Saturday afternoon without the talents of their teenage sensation.
Hoping to avoid an injury which could jeopardise a move away, Dibling is out of contention for selection on a matchday for Southampton at this moment.
"Price for every player" - Southampton chief drops Dibling admission
Speaking earlier this week, Southampton chief Parsons admitted that Dibling could be on his way out of St Mary's before the end of the window.
“I think people in this room are not stupid, and people listening are not silly. They know football, but there is a price for every player," Parsons told a fans' forum.
“We are not a club that is going to roll over and just accept a bid because they feel like they want him on the cheap. If you want a player, bid for them and bid well."
According to the Liverpool Echo, Premier League outfit Everton are one of the sides keen on securing the services of Dibling.
It is understood that the Toffees have seen three separate advances for the winger rejected, the latest of those bids in the region of £45m.
Aiming to pocket as much as possible from a potential Dibling departure to fund their own transfer ambitions, Southampton are supposedly demanding £50m for the England youth international.
Quick resolution needed for Southampton, Dibling
Looking to focus on their attempts to secure an immediate return to the Premier League, Southampton will want Dibling's future sorted pretty quickly.
The distraction of a star player being left out of the first-team plans is hindering the efforts of the Saints to make a positive start to the 2025-26 term.
After squeezing past Wrexham on the weekend, Southampton travel to Northampton Town on Tuesday night in the first round of the EFL Cup.
