Everton are reportedly planning to make a second offer for Southampton attacker Tyler Dibling.
The 19-year-old is expected to leave Southampton before the end of the summer transfer window, and he has been linked with the likes of Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur due to his impressive form for the Saints last term.
According to Sky Sports News, Everton failed with a £27m bid for Dibling on Thursday, with Southampton making it clear that it was not close to being enough to sign the forward.
The report claims that the Championship club are looking for at least £40m for his services.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Everton are planning to return with a fresh bid for Dibling, although it is unclear whether they are willing to go to £40m for the teenager.
Dibling scored four times and registered three assists in 38 appearances for Southampton during the 2024-25 campaign, including a record of two goals and one assist in 33 Premier League outings.

Meanwhile, Manchester United have announced that forward Ethan Wheatley has made a loan switch to Northampton Town.
The 19-year-old featured on three occasions for the Red Devils during the 2023-24 campaign, while he played once in the first half of last season before making the move to Walsall on loan.
Wheatley only played four times in League Two last term, but he has now managed to secure another loan, with the teenager making the step into League One with Northampton Town.
"We are delighted to get Ethan's signing over the line," manager Kevin Nolan told the club's official website. "We have been speaking to Manchester United, Ethan, his Dad and his agent over the last few weeks to make sure everything is right and everyone is happy.
"He has played in the Premier League for Manchester United at the age of 18 and you don't do that without having a lot of ability. I have seen enough of him to know what he is all about, what his attributes are and to believe that he can come in and be a good addition for us.
"He is tall, strong, powerful and quick and a really good athlete. We believe he fits in with what we are trying to do, how we want to play and what we need from our strikers. With his qualities and what he brings, we believe that he can be a good addition to what is already a sound squad.
"After a loan spell at Walsall last season, he had a really strong summer with England at the Euros and I have been impressed with how eager he was to come here, and how keen he is to work hard and to get going for us.
"We thank Manchester United for trusting us with Ethan. That is a real testament to the club, and our reputation for helping and developing young players. He is an important player for Manchester United and we understand, the stage Ethan is at and the progress he is making, that is an important loan for him and they have considered carefully where to send him.
"We are looking forward to working with him, to helping develop him and hopefully this loan benefits all parties involved."
Wheatley could make his Northampton debut in Saturday's League One opener with Wigan Athletic.
Real Murcia 'set deadline' for Balotelli move
Elsewhere, Real Murcia have reportedly set a deadline of Sunday for Mario Balotelli to decide whether he wants to accept an offer to join the Spanish outfit for the 2025-26 campaign.
Balotelli is currently a free agent, having left Genoa at the end of June following the expiration of his contract.
According to Marca, Real Murcia, who play in the third tier of Spanish football, have offered the Italian a one-year contract worth in the region of £434,000.
The report claims that Balotelli's agents have been informed that they have until Sunday to accept the offer, or Real Murcia will move onto other targets.
Balotelli, who will turn 35 later this month, has represented the likes of Inter Milan, Manchester City, AC Milan and Liverpool during a well-travelled career.
The forward found it difficult to make his mark at Genoa last season, featuring on just six occasions in all competitions, but he has scored 189 professional goals during his career.
