Team News: Steven Pienaar makes first league start for Sunderland

Steven Pienaar has been handed his first league start for Sunderland in this afternoon's trip to Southampton.

David Moyes has made several changes from the side that lost to Middlesbrough in their last league outing, as Jordan Pickford takes over in goal from the injured Vito Mannone.

Elsewhere, Lamine Kone and Fabio Borini are given starts, while Javier Manquillo is handed a debut.

The hosts display just the one change, as Charlie Austin displaces Shane Long to the bench.
