Mauricio Pochettino: 'We must keep focus'

Mauricio Pochettino says that his players will continue to work hard each day in training.

Southampton manager Mauricio Pochettino has urged his side to remain focused following their fine start to the Premier League season.

Pochettino's high-pressing game has seen his side rise to fifth in the early league table and they have won four of their last six.

"[Our start] makes me happy for the fans and for the players as well," Sky Sports News quotes Pochettino as saying.

"It's always nice to get some recognition from the media, it makes me happy for the chairman as well as it's all part of this club, but at the same time, my focus is on the staff and trying to improve on every single game and I'm 100% focused on doing the best for this team and this club.

"We always aim to maintain the same focus in training and training with the same intensity, so we just want to keep on training hard."

Southampton travel to Stoke City on Saturday.
