Mauricio Pochettino dismisses exit reports

Southampton boss Mauricio Pochettino dismisses reports claiming that he will leave the club at the end of the season.

Southampton manager Mauricio Pochettino has dismissed reports linking him with a move away from the club.

A report in Italy claimed that the former Espanyol coach will quit St Mary's at the end of the season, but the Saints boss said that the claims are wide of the mark.

He told reporters: "In Italy there is pretty much a new piece of news happening every minute, most of them are contradictory from one minute to next.

"What can I say about it? If we paid attention to every single report that came out in Italy, we would go mad.

"I can't really comment on something that is not consistent and has no solidity to it or no base to it. I am happy here of course."

Southampton are currently ninth in the Premier League.
