South Africa prop Tendai Mtawarira suffers heart problems

Powerful prop Tendai Mtawarira has been ruled out of South Africa's Test against Ireland after suffering heart palpitations.

Mtawaria has struggled with heart problems in the past and was taken to hospital in Dublin on Friday as a precaution.

The 27-year-old has been replaced by experienced former Leinster prop CJ van der Linde, who has 73 caps for the Springboks.

A Springbok regular affectionately known as the 'Beast', Mtawaria has played 41 times for South Africa, scoring two tries.
