Sheffield Wednesday's pre-season friendly with West Bromwich Albion ends in a 1-1 draw.

West Bromwich Albion were held to a 1-1 draw in their pre-season friendly on Saturday afternoon at the Hillsborough Stadium.

West Brom started with a strong side, playing the likes of Peter Odemwingie, Shane Long and Ben Foster.

The Championship side held their own from kick-off and took a deserved lead in the 34th minute through new signing Nejc Pecnik.

The Slovenian's goal was enough to give Sheffield Wednesday a 1-0 lead at half time.

The second half saw Steve Clarke's side improve, though they struggled to find a way past Chris Kirkland in the Wednesday goal.

The Baggies kept pressing and finally got an equaliser in the 88th minute through Odemwingie.

The final whistle blew with the score at 1-1.
