Mark Beevers eager for new contract at Sheffield Wednesday?

Beevers targets new deal?

Mark Beevers is reportedly keen to remain with Sheffield Wednesday, despite the centre-back being out of contract.

The 22-year-old has yet to be offered a new deal with the newly-promoted Championship side but it is believed that the defender would like to stay at Hillsborough, according to the Daily Star.

It is unclear whether the club will hold on to Beevers, who started his youth career with Owls and launched into the first team in 2007.

The club secured automatic promotion to the Championship by finishing second on 93 points in the League One table.
