Emir Spahic joins Bayer Leverkusen

Bayer Leverkusen have completed the signing of defender Emir Spahic from Sevilla for an undisclosed fee.

The 32-year-old, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Anzhi Makhachkala, had been on Sevilla's books since July 2011.

He made 44 La Liga appearances for the Spanish outfit, scoring one goal.

Spahic has been capped 64 times by Bosnia and Herzegovina at senior international level.
