Sevilla coach Unai Emery praises Gareth Bale

Sevilla head coach Unai Emery has spoken of his admiration for Real Madrid's Gareth Bale ahead of their UEFA Super Cup match.

Bale stood out in the first match he played against Sevilla for Real, scoring a brace as he guided the team to a 7-3 victory.

"We unfortunately got to know him in the first match he played [against Sevilla], and he was already at an extremely high level," the Sevilla head coach explained in his pre-match press conference on Monday.

"It hasn't surprised me how quickly he has adapted [with Real Madrid], based on the fact he's a great player and a great athlete."

Tuesday's match is seen as Bale's homecoming, as Champions League winners Real Madrid will face Europa League champions Sevilla in the UEFA Super Cup at the Cardiff City Stadium.
