Scotland call on Don Cowie

Scotland manager Craig Levein has called up Cardiff City midfielder Don Cowie ahead of Tuesday's World Cup qualifier against Belgium.

The 29-year-old replaces Scott Brown after the Celtic captain was forced off with a hip problem at half time in the 2-1 loss to Wales on Friday.

Cowie, whose last appearance for his country came during the 5-1 defeat to the USA in May, has been capped 10 times at senior international level.

James Forrest is doubtful for the trip to Brussels, while Everton's Steven Naismith will serve the final game of his two-match ban.
