Scotland to face Nigeria in May

The Scottish Football Association announce that Scotland will face Nigeria at Craven Cottage on May 28.

Scotland will attempt to end the season on a positive note with a friendly against Nigeria at Craven Cottage.

The Tartan Army will travel to London to face the African side on May 28, and manager Gordon Strachan is excited to face quality opposition as they prepare for the start of the Euro 2016 qualification campaign in September.

The former Celtic boss is quoted by Sky Sports News as saying: "We considered a lot of options but the chance to play Nigeria, a country who will be going to the World Cup this summer, in London without the need for long-haul travel was the one that appealed most.

"We will have time for some quality training sessions before the game and we will look to finish the season with a positive performance and result that we can take forward as we finalise preparations for the Euro 2016 qualifiers."

Scotland will be hoping to build on their 1-0 win in Poland on Wednesday evening.
