Report: Moyes interested in Scotland job

Former Manchester United and Sunderland boss David Moyes has reportedly informed the Scottish Football Association that he is interested in succeeding Gordon Strachan as Scotland manager.

The 54-year-old has been out of work since departing the Black Cats at the end of last season, having presided over their relegation from the Premier League.

Moyes was installed as the bookies' early favourite to replace Strachan, just ahead of ex-Cardiff City chief Malky Mackay who now works within the SFA, and Sky Sports News reports that he is keen on the job.

As well as managing Man United, Sunderland and Everton in the Premier League, Moyes has also taken charge of Preston North End and Spanish club Real Sociedad.

The SFA is expected to unveil its new manager within the next month, having axed Strachan on the back of their failure to qualify for the 2018 World Cup.
