Schalke 04 striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar has signed a contract extension that will keep him at the club until June 2017, with an option for an additional year also available.
The 31-year-old's contract was due to expire at the end of the current season, with a number of European clubs thought to be interested in the player's services.
However, Schalke revealed in a tweet earlier today that the prolific frontman has now put pen to paper:

Huntelaar has bagged seven goals in 15 Bundesliga appearances this season.
