Stoke City beaten by Schalke 04

Stoke City have ended their pre-season tour of Germany with a 2-1 defeat to Schalke 04.

The Potters took the lead on 55 minutes when new signing Bojan Krkic opened his account for the club with a powerful strike from the edge of the penalty area.

However, Schalke drew level just three minutes later as Joel Matip found space inside the box to head past Jack Butland.

The Germans then managed to claim the win with five minutes left to play thanks to Tranquillo Barnetta's calm finish.
