Half-Time Report: Goalless at Veltins Arena between Schalke 04 , SC Paderborn

SC Paderborn created the better chances in a goalless first half with Schalke 04 at the Veltins Arena.

Schalke dominated possession for much of the early stages, but Paderborn created the first chance of the game when Suleyman Koc found the space to head over from a promising position.

That opportunity seemed to boost the visitors and they threatened once again when Moritz Stoppelkamp tested Ralf Fahrmann with a long-range strike.

Paderborn grew in confidence as the first half progressed, and they came even closer to the opening goal when Stoppelkamp curled the ball a few inches wide of the post.

As Schalke continued to struggle under pressure from their frustrated fans, Paderborn created another chance when Lukas Rupp just missed the target with a low effort.
