Half-Time Report: Jonson Clarke-Harris brace puts Rotherham United in control

Clarke-Harris brace puts Rotherham in control

Jonson Clarke-Harris has found the net twice as improving Rotherham United lead Bristol City by two goals to nil at the halfway point of their Championship encounter.

The visitors created the first chance of the afternoon from a corner in the second minute, Aden Flint heading Jonathan Kodjia's cross into the arms of Millers keeper Lee Camp.

Rotherham soon recovered from their nervy start and edged their noses in front through Clarke-Harris, who gained possession 25 yards from goal and curled an unstoppable strike beyond Frank Fielding.

Camp was called into action again in the 13th minute, denying Kieran Agard on the rebound to preserve the home side's advantage.

Both sides were looking dangerous in front of goal but it was Rotherham who landed the next blow, their second goal coming from the penalty spot after Kodjia hauled down Kirk Broadfoot in the box.

Clarke-Harris stepped up and beat Fielding from 12 yards to put the Millers two to the good at the break.
