Roma join race for Mats Hummels

Roma have reportedly emerged as rivals to Manchester City and Manchester United for the signature of German defender Mats Hummels.

According to German newspaper Bild, the Borussia Dortmund ace has also been attracting interest from Juventus and Inter Milan.

The Bundesliga outfit are said to value the 23-year-old, whose contract runs out in 2014, at around £20m.

Hummels, who has 13 caps for his country, moved to the Signal Iduna Park from domestic rivals Bayern Munich in 2007.
