Team News: Seydou Doumbia given the nod by Rudi Garcia, Francesco Totti misses out

Seydou Doumbia is given the nod to start Roma's Serie A clash against Genoa ahead of Francesco Totti, who has to make do with a place among the substitutes.

Seydou Doumbia has retained his spot in the Roma starting lineup for today's clash against Genoa at the Stadio Olimpico.

The £15m January purchase opened his Gillorossi account in the 3-0 win over Sassuolo in midweek, and he has been given the nod ahead of Francesco Totti, who is again left on the bench.

Alessandro Florenzi is selected at right-back once more, with Victor Ibarbo and Gervinho fielded alongside Doumbia in attack. Douglas Maicon, Leandro Castan and Kevin Strootman are all still out of action.

Roma will be looking to make it two wins on the bounce this afternoon following a run of three games without success last month, but they will have to overcome the division's in-form side in Genoa.

The Rossoblu will be without the suspended Nicolas Burdisso against his former club, while Diego Perotti, Lorenzo Ariaudo and Giovanni Marchese are also injured.

Iago Falque has scored four in his last five outings, but Diego Laxalt takes his place in the starting lineup for the trip to Rome.

Roma: De Sanctis; Florenzi, Manolas, Astori, Torosidis; Pjanic, De Rossi, Nainggolan; Gervinho, Doumbia, Ibarbo

Genoa: Perin; Roncaglia, De Maio, Izzo, Tambe; Rincon, Bertolacci, Kucka, Laxalt, Niang, Bergdich
