Rudi Garcia talks up Kevin Strootman

Roma coach Rudi Garcia has hailed the talents of Kevin Strootman following the midfielder's arrival at the club.

The former PSV Eindhoven man joined the Serie A side on Wednesday for a fee believed to be in the region of £15m.

"Strootman is a high-level player," Garcia told reporters.

"He's very technical and he asks for the ball. I like his determination, his desire to win and his leadership."

Garcia was speaking after his side ran out 9-1 winners to Riscone on Wednesday.
