Roma coach Rudi Garcia has insisted that his primary target for this season is European qualification with a top-five finish in Serie A.
Garica has made a positive start to life at the Stadio Olimpico, recording convincing victories in each of his first two matches in charge of the Giallorossi.
After a summer of upheaval in the Italian capital, Garcia has moved to calm expectations, maintaining that signs of improvement on Roma's disappointing sixth-placed effort last season must be his immediate priority.
He told the club's official website: "Can we get back into the Champions League? I like ambition and I'm as ambitious as anyone.
"But ambition is one thing and your real target for the season is another. Our aim is to finish in the top five.
"We have a very tough game on Monday. Yes, we've collected six points so far but we have to prepare for this match properly. That's all I want to think about at the moment."
The Frenchman goes in search of a third successive win in Serie A tomorrow night when Roma take on Parma at the Stadio Ennio Tardini.
