Keita: 'Roma can beat Real Madrid'

Roma midfielder Seydou Keita has insisted that his team have the credentials needed to eliminate Real Madrid in the last-16 stage of the Champions League.

On Wednesday, Roma will welcome the Spanish giants for the first leg of their knockout tie, which will end in Madrid next month.

Real Madrid are among the favourites to lift an 11th European Cup this season, but Keita has said that "no team is unbeatable" ahead of their clash this week.

"We have to play with confidence, take to the pitch and believe that we can do well," Keita told Roma's official radio station. "The coach will work hard to prepare us in the best possible way. It will be a difficult game, they are a great side, but not an impossible one. No team is unbeatable.

"We are in a good period of form, we have won our last four games and the team is improving. We are on the right path in order to finish the season strongly."

Real Madrid have not been beaten since Zinedine Zidane took control of first-team affairs last month.
