Carlos Vela wins it for Real Sociedad

Real Sociedad edged out Real Valladolid 1-0 at Anoeta this evening.

Carlos Vela's goal after 23 minutes was enough for La Real, who are now sixth in La Liga.

Antoine Griezmann went close to extending the home side's advantage before he played in Vela, who failed to convert on 40 minutes.

Sergio Canales had a chance after the restart before Oscar saw an effort saved on 57 minutes.

Carlos Pena nearly grabbed a late equaliser as the game crept towards stoppage time, but La Real held on to take all three points.
