Real Sociedad lineup vs. Real Madrid: Predicted XI for Copa del Rey semi-final with Mikel Oyarzabal set to start

Real Sociedad captain Mikel Oyarzabal could return to the starting lineup for Wednesday's Copa del Rey semi-final first leg against Real Madrid at the Reale Arena.

Oyarzabal may come into the starting XI as one of the changes that Imanol Alguacil could make for the crucial cup clash against Carlo Ancelotti's side.

Nayef Aguerd is set to drop out of the squad after he picked up an injury in Sunday's 3-0 win over Leganes, while Arsen Zakharyan could also miss out following his withdrawal at half time due to a physical issue.

Real Sociedad remain without the defensive duo of Hamari Traore and Jon Pacheco as well as Croatian midfielder Luka Sucic.

Goalkeeper Alex Remiro is set to retain his place between the posts, with Jon Aramburu and Javi Lopez poised to feature at right and left-back respectively.

Igor Zubeldia, who missed the win against Leganes through suspension, appears to be the frontrunner to partner Aritz Elustondo as Aguerd's replacement.

Martin Zubimendi will be tasked with guarding the Real Sociedad backline, while Pablo Marin and Jon Ander Olasagasti are also set to line up in the middle of the park, with the latter likely to replace Zakharyan after taking the Russian's place at half time of Sunday's La Liga fixture.

Having scored two goals in his last three competitive appearances, Take Kubo should be given the task of offering the threat from Real Sociedad's right flank, with Sergio Gomez set to operate on the left wing for Wednesday's first leg.

Meanwhile, Oyarzabal is in line to replace Iceland forward Orri Oskarsson after the Spain international dropped down to the bench at the weekend.
