La Liga president Javier Tebas believes that there is a "99% chance" that Kylian Mbappe will complete a move to Real Madrid this summer.

La Liga president Javier Tebas has said that there is a "99% chance" that Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe will join Real Madrid this summer.

Despite being linked with a switch to Real Madrid over the last few years, a move to the Santiago Bernabeu has failed to materialise as of yet.

However, there is an expectation that Los Blancos will secure Mbappe's signature this summer after the Frenchman told PSG that he will leave the club when his contract expires at the end of the season.

A recent report claimed that Real Madrid have already reached an agreement to sign Mbappe on a free transfer ahead of the 2024-25 campaign.

Although a deal is yet to be confirmed, Tebas believes that it is only a matter of time before Mbappe becomes a Real Madrid player.

Tebas told L'Equipe: "Knowing that he's leaving PSG, there's a 99% chance that Mbappé signs for Real Madrid. But I don't know if he's already signed.

"It's great news for Real Madrid and for Spanish football. [He] is one of the best players in the world. In my view, Jude Bellingham, Erling Haaland and Mbappe are the three most dominant players on the planet, and two of them are at Real Madrid."

While La Liga's strict financial fair play rules have hampered some clubs, Tebas has revealed that Real Madrid will not have to sell players to complete the signing of Mbappe.

"Real Madrid are a club in an optimal financial situation," Tebas added. "The president [Florentino Perez] and director general [Jose Angel Sanchez] are very good managers, although they're very bad when they want to organise new competitions.

"At the moment, their financial results are very good and they can spend a lot more than they do. Madrid have been very prudent financially, they've prepared for the signing of Mbappe. They don't have to sell anyone to allow themselves to sign Mbappe."

Mbappe, who is reportedly set to join on a five-year deal, is expected to be given the number 10 shirt upon his arrival at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The Frenchman is currently enjoying a productive campaign with PSG, having scored 32 goals in 33 competitive appearances this season.

Mbappe's goals have helped PSG open up a 10-point lead at the top of Ligue 1, while Luis Enrique's side are still in the hunt for the Coupe de France and the Champions League.
