Roma reject Real Madrid offer for Marquinhos?

Roma have reportedly rejected a €20m (£17m) bid from Real Madrid for teenage defender Marquinhos.

The Spanish giants are reportedly interested in the 19-year-old Brazilian but were turned down by the Italians with their first offer for the centre-back, according to La Gazetta dello Sport.

It is thought that Roma want a significantly higher sum for the player that they brought to Europe from Corinthians at the beginning of last season.

The youngster made 26 appearances in Serie A last season and is under contract at Stadio Olimpico until 2017.

Barcelona are also believed to be interested in the central defender.
