Report: Juve to offer £40m for Marcelo

A report claims that Juventus want to sign Marcelo from Real Madrid and are willing to pay the player £10.5m a year in wages.

Real Madrid left-back Marcelo is a £40m target for Italian champions Juventus, according to a report.

The long-serving defender, who has spent the past 12 years at the Bernabeu, is believed to be seeking a lucrative move away from Madrid in the summer.

Marcelo has featured less regularly under Santiago Solari, with Sergio Reguilon being preferred of late, and Tuttosport suggests that Los Blancos are willing to cash in as part of a freshen-up.

Juve are said to be willing to pay the Brazil international £10.5m a year in wages to tempt him to join them over a rival club.

Fluminense youth-team product Marcelo, under contract with Madrid until 2022, would get the chance to link up with former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo should he make the switch to Turin.
