Alvaro Morata 'not available for loan in January'

A report in Spain claims that Real Madrid will not allow apparent Arsenal and Spurs strike target Alvaro Morata to leave the club on loan in January.

Real Madrid will not allow apparent Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur target Alvaro Morata to leave the club on loan in January, according to a report in Spain.

The North London duo are both eager to add striking reinforcements when the transfer window reopens, and were rumoured to be tracking the 21-year-old.

A report on Tuesday claimed that the Gunners had already taken steps to sign Morata on a temporary deal until the end of the season, speculation that Arsene Wenger has flatly denied.

According to Marca, neither Arsenal nor Spurs should consider an approach for the Spanish Under-21 international, as Madrid want him to compete for a first-team place at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Morata has scored four goals in 27 Los Blancos appearances, but only four of those have been starts.
