Middlesbrough to sign Zinedine Zidane's son?

Middlesbrough are linked with a bid for Zinedine Zidane's son Enzo.

Middlesbrough are reportedly closing in on the loan capture of Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane's son Enzo.

The 21-year-old midfielder currently plies his trade with Real Madrid Castilla and is currently on tour with his father and the senior Madrid side in the US.

According to The Mirror, newly-promoted Boro are just one of four clubs to have registered an interest in Enzo, with Spanish sides Sporting Gijon and Alcorcon, as well as an unnamed Italian club, also in the race.

Madrid will now consider the best option for Enzo's future development and are likely to pick the club that can guarantee him the most first-team opportunities.

Boro manager Aitor Karanka spent a season playing with Zinedine Zidane at the Bernabeu, as well as three years working together in Jose Mourinho's team, and is hoping that their relationship will tip the scales in his favour.

Karanka has brought in seven players so far this window, including Brad Guzan, Gaston Ramirez, Victor Valdes and Marten de Roon.
