Lyon midfielder Rayan Cherki has said that he 'dreams' of representing Real Madrid in the future.
The 18-year-old made his debut for Les Gones during the 2019-20 campaign and has since established himself as an important player for the club, making 44 appearances in all competitions, scoring seven times and contributing six assists in the process.
Cherki has revealed that he is determined to "make history with Lyon", but the former France Under-16s international has a desire to represent Real Madrid at some point in his career.
"The perfect path would be the following, make history with Lyon and then make it with other clubs", Cherki told Onze Mondial.
"We all know the club of my dreams is Real Madrid. To join the biggest club the world would be great. That is the perfect route and the one I have in mind. Every morning I wake up for that and to go on and fulfil my dreams."
Cherki played 60 minutes of Lyon's 2021-22 Ligue 1 opener against Brest on August 7 but has been an unused substitute in his side's last three league encounters.
