Brahim Diaz 'free to leave Real Madrid on loan'

Brahim Diaz will be allowed to leave Real Madrid on loan during the January transfer window, according to a report.

Real Madrid are reportedly prepared to loan Brahim Diaz out during the January transfer window.

The 20-year-old rejected the chance to sign a new contract with Manchester City to join Madrid, where he made 11 appearances in the second half of the 2018-19 campaign.

The Spain Under-21 international has only played nine minutes of first-team football for Los Blancos this season, though, having struggled to force his way into the team.

According to Marca, Diaz rejected the chance to leave the Bernabeu on loan over the summer as he wanted to fight for his spot, but Zinedine Zidane's side will now insist that the youngster depart in early 2020.

The same report claims that Mariano Diaz has also been made available on loan, with the forward failing to make a single appearance for Madrid in the early stages of the 2019-20 campaign.

Los Blancos missed the chance to move to the top of La Liga on Saturday night as they were held to a 0-0 draw by Real Betis at the Bernabeu.
