Real Madrid decide to rest Cristiano Ronaldo for their clash against Real Sociedad in La Liga, with Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema and James Rodriguez starting in attack.

Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo has been rested for his side's away clash at Real Sociedad in La Liga this evening.

Carlo Ancelotti's side will feature three frontmen in the shape of James Rodriguez, Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale, while midfield support comes from Toni Kroos, Luka Modric and Isco.

This evening's hosts have opted for a 4-5-1 formation, which sees Imanol Agirretxe serve as a lone striker.

Sociedad's captain Xabi Prieto will run a five-man midfield, which also includes playmaker Esteban Granero.
