Real Madrid consider Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti as a possible replacement for Zinedine Zidane, according to a report.

Real Madrid would reportedly be interested in talking to Carlo Ancelotti about a return to the club, should Zinedine Zidane leave his role as head coach at the end of the season.

Zidane's future at the Bernabeu is currently the subject of much speculation, with a recent report claiming that the Frenchman will stand down from his position once the 2020-21 campaign has finished.

According to The Mirror, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has identified Ancelotti, who is currently at Everton, as a possible replacement.

Ancelotti was previously in charge of Los Blancos between 2013 and 2015, winning the Copa del Rey and the Champions League during his time at the helm.

The 61-year-old has managed Bayern Munich and Napoli since leaving the Bernabeu, while he has been the head coach of Everton since December 2019, winning 30 of his 64 matches in charge of the Toffees.

The Italian is thought to be on a three-man shortlist with former Real Madrid forward Raul and Massimiliano Allegri, who has been without a position since leaving Juventus in 2019.
