Zidane hopes for Mourinho stay

Former Real Madrid midfielder Zinedine Zidane has admitted that manager Jose Mourinho should stay at the club.

Mourinho, who celebrates 100 matches in charge of Los Blancos this weekend, has been linked with a return to former club Chelsea following the sacking of Andre Villas-Boas.

Despite the uncertainty over the 49-year-old's future, Zidane hopes that Mourinho can bring more success to the Spanish side.

"If I see him overseeing 100 more matches here? With all that he is doing at the club, the best thing is that he stays," Zidane told reporters.

"The most important thing is that we end the season well, that everything goes the right way. Then, we will see."

Madrid, who are currently 10 points ahead of rivals Barcelona in the Primera Division table, travel to Real Betis on Saturday night.
