Michael Laudrup emerges at the fans' favourite for the Real Madrid coaching role, according to reports.

Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup has emerged as the Real Madrid fans' favourite to take over at the Bernabeu next season.

Current coach Jose Mourinho looks certain to leave the Spanish champions at the end of the current campaign after a disappointing domestic season.

According to a poll conducted by AS, the Swans boss is the overwhelming favourite with 73% of the votes.

Laudrup has enjoyed a fine debut season in the Premier League with the Welsh side currently sitting ninth in the Premier League and he has also lead them to a place in today's League Cup final against Bradford City.

Chelsea's interim manager Rafael Benitez was second with 18%, with Paris Saint-Germain coach Carlo Ancelotti coming in third with 9% of the votes.
