Jupp Heynckes pleased with Bayern Munich reaction

Bayern Munich coach Jupp Heynckes was content that his side did exactly what he had asked of them during their 2-1 first-leg win over Real Madrid in the Champions League semi-final.

Heynckes had demanded an improvement from his side after they slumped to a 1-0 defeat against Borussia Dortmund at the weekend.

"My players showed what I had demanded from them yesterday - lust and hunger for success," he told Sky Sports News.

"I think we more than deserved the win because we played cleverly and intelligently."

The return match will be played at the Bernabeu on Wednesday, April 25.
