Karim Benzema undergoes tests on injured knee

Real Madrid forward Karim Benzema visited doctors in Madrid this morning to determine the extent of the injury to his left knee.

The French international, who has struggled for form in recent weeks, missed his side's 2-0 defeat at Celta Vigo on Sunday due to a troublesome knee injury.

According to AS, the former Lyon striker underwent tests in the capital this morning, with Los Blancos expected to learn the results over the next couple of days.

It is understood that Benzema will not feature against Espanyol in La Liga next weekend, but is expected to make the final of the Champions League with Atletico Madrid later this month.
