Gareth Bale: 'Ryan Giggs is my greatest ever teammate'

Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale has revealed that his greatest ever teammate is Wales legend Ryan Giggs.

Bale currently plays among a starting lineup including the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema and Sergio Ramos, but he has rated former Manchester United midfielder Giggs as the best he has played with during his career.

The 27-year-old is quoted by Marca as saying: "For me the greatest player is Ryan Giggs.

"He was my hero growing up and is a legend in world football. It also helps he's a fellow Welshman."

Bale made his debut for Wales in 2006 - a year before Giggs announced his retirement from the international scene.
