Karim Benzema is reportedly optimistic over his hamstring issue, with the centre-forward not expecting to spend a long period on the sidelines.
The 34-year-old has been in excellent form for Los Blancos during the 2021-22 campaign, finding the back of the net on 24 occasions in 28 appearances, in addition to contributing nine assists.
Benzema was forced off during Sunday's 2-2 draw with Elche in La Liga, though, with the striker picking up a hamstring problem.
According to Marca, the France international will have an MRI on Tuesday morning to determine the extent of the problem, but neither Real Madrid nor the player are overly concerned.
The report claims that Benzema is 'optimistic' that the issue will resolve itself with a period of rest, with Carlo Ancelotti's side not back in action until February 3 against Athletic Bilbao.
Real Madrid will then face Granada and Villarreal in La Liga ahead of a trip to Paris Saint-Germain for the first leg of their last-16 Champions League clash on February 15.
