Half-Time Report: Los Angeles Galaxy 1-3 Real Madrid

Real Madrid wasted no time in showing their class in a formidable first-half performance against the Los Angeles Galaxy, leading 3-1 at the break.

Gonzalo Higuain opened the scoring for Madrid after just three minutes, latching onto a through ball from Angel di Maria and producing a clinical finish.

Di Maria then added a goal of his own from range to put the La Liga Champions 2-0 up after just 12 minutes.

Galaxy finally showed signs of recovery and gave their home fans something to cheer by pulling a goal back.

A trademark set-piece delivery from David Beckham led to a free header for David Lopez to reduce the deficit to 2-1.

Madrid quickly asserted their dominance with a fine attacking move to restore their two-goal advantage.

Higuain turned provider to find Jose Callejon, who finished smartly to make the score 3-1 at the interval.
