Half-Time Report: Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale help to give Real Madrid half-time lead

Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale give Real Madrid a -30 half-time lead over Real Betis in La Liga.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale have both scored standout individual goals as Real Madrid currently hold a 3-0 lead over Real Betis at half time in their La Liga clash this afternoon.

Madrid took the lead after only 11 minutes as Cristiano Ronaldo moved unchecked towards the Betis goal, before hammering home a strike into the top corner of the net to put his team 1-0 up.

The Portugese winger was at it again only a few minutes later when he skipped past two challenges to unleash a shot, which flew just wide of goal.

Ronaldo turned provider as he won a free kick just outside of the box, allowing Bale to bend an unstoppable finish past the stranded keeper in the Betis goal.

Ronaldo continued to shine throughout the half and he almost made it 3-0 after being found by Luka Modric on the counter, but his effort was saved by the Betis keeper Stephan Andersen.

Karim Benzema completed the first-half rout right on the stroke of half time as he collected a square-ball to finish tidily from a few yards out.
