Jordi Roger: 'We have nothing to lose'

Cornella boss Jordi Roger calls on his side to enjoy Tuesday's Copa del Rey clash against Real Madrid.

Cornella boss Jordi Roger has insisted that his team will enjoy Tuesday's Copa del Rey last-32 second leg against Real Madrid.

The Segunda B side travel to the Bernabeu trailing 4-1 from the first leg, but Roger has vowed that his side will not roll over for the La Liga leaders.

"The word that most defines our mood is 'hope'. We'll compete to our maximum knowing that the challenge ahead of us is almost impossible. The players do not lack motivation. I wish it was this easy [to motivate] every Sunday. The lads are hopeful and very eager to live this experience. It's the easiest game I've had [to manage]," Roger is quoted by Inside Spanish Football as saying.

"We come with idea of not giving anything away. They've won 16 games in a row and that's not something many teams can say. Let's see if we can end the streak. They're a team we know very well. Some others have switched off to Madrid in recent times, but not us."

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti is expected to ring the changes for the cup match.
