Former England midfielder Steve McManaman was on target as Real Madrid lifted their eighth European Cup trophy thanks to a 3-0 victory over Valencia in May 2000.

The 13-times winners and current holders go into battle with a first-leg away trip to Ajax in Wednesday's round-of-16 as they look to reach the final for the 17th time in their home city on June 1.
