Reading complete signing of Coventry City forward Marc McNulty

Reading confirm that they have completed the signing of Coventry City forward Marc McNulty on a four-year contract.

Reading have confirmed that Marc McNulty has left Coventry City to pen a four-year contract at the Madejski Stadium.

Earlier this week, it was reported that Coventry had decided to accept a bid for the forward, who netted 28 times for the Sky Blues last season.

McNulty opted to reject an offer of improved terms at the League One side in order to test himself in the Championship, and head coach Paul Clement is confident that the Scottish attacker can make an impact.

Clement told the club's official website: "I am delighted Marc has joined us from Coventry City where he was instrumental in the club's successful promotion to League One last May.

"He scored a lot of goals and also provided a good number of assists last season and, having followed his journey as a player - including what he achieved with Coventry last season - I have no doubt he will make the step up and prove a very good acquisition for us."

McNulty - who has moved for an undisclosed fee - follows Andy Yiadom, John O'Shea and David Meyler in making the switch to the Royals.
