Pavel Pogrebnyak in discussions with a number of English clubs

Russia striker Pavel Pogrebnyak is currently in discussions with a host of English clubs, despite reports that the frontman is close to joining Reading.

The forward's agent Oleg Artemov has confirmed that the 28-year-old is considering a switch to Reading following reports that the Stuttgart player is poised to sign a four-year deal with the newly-promoted Premier League side.

While the Royals are a possible destination for the striker, the player's agent has insisted that Pogrebnyak, who recently spent a season-long loan at Fulham, is pondering all of his options.

"We are not just holding talks with Reading. There are other English clubs," Artemov told R-Sport. "I think that a final decision will be taken in a week's time."

Pogrebnyak netted six goals in 12 games for the Cottagers last season.
